Swagger Spotlight: Submit Your Ideas

  March 28, 2018

Over the past couple of years, our tools have helped millions of developers design, build, and document awesome APIs. Today, we want to make sure our users are learning from the best resources by launching a new series called Swagger Spotlight.

Swagger Spotlight is our way of letting the community provide the expertise. You all create amazing things with our tools every day, and we want other Swagger users to know what you’re working on! Swagger.io should be a place where members of the Swagger community can come to learn from one another, be inspired, or bounce new ideas off of each other.

Swagger Spotlight will be a blog series that is dedicated to letting you show other Swagger users what you've learned. The Swagger team wants to highlight your creations, your knowledge, your wins. Each week, your content will be featured on the blog and promoted out across our different platforms.

What Are We Looking For?

This is an opportunity for Swagger users to showcase their expertise. Share your Swagger, if you will. We know that Swagger users have done a great job of creating their own tutorials and teaching others in a variety of ways, whether it’s via a YouTube video, a blog post, or even a talk at a conference. Often times, users find new and exciting ways to explain material that we just haven’t thought of.

You all are also the masters of finding ways to make your lives easier by integrating the Swagger tools with other tools out there. We know there are a ton of different ways to pair Swagger tools up with other resources out there. Do you have an example that has saved you time and money? We’re sure other users would love to learn from you.

This is also an opportunity to show how Swagger tools have helped you build really great APIs. Have you used Swagger tools to build a new API you’re really proud of? We want to hear about it.

The Swagger blog is a powerful platform. We have hundreds of thousands of visitors coming to the site every month looking for content to help them become better API developers. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain attention for their expertise in the API and Swagger space.

All we ask is that you have a relationship with the Swagger tools, whether that’s with the open source tools, our commercial tool, SwaggerHub, or our newest tool, Swagger Inspector.

To break it down, here’s what you should submit:

  • Swagger tutorials
  • Ways Swagger tools have made your life easier
  • Great APIs you have built with Swagger tools
  • Interesting use cases for Swagger tools
  • Thought leadership in the API industry
