[Free Training] OpenAPI 3.0: How to Design and Document APIs with the Latest OpenAPI Specification

  September 19, 2017

The OpenAPI Specification (OAS), based on the original Swagger 2.0 specification, has emerged as the world’s standard for defining and describing RESTful APIs.

The next version of the OAS – version 3.0 – is officially released, and comes with a host of rich, expressive capabilities for your API design and documentation. Some of these capabilities include support for describing callbacks, links to express relationships between operations, enhanced examples, and a simplified structure for better reusability.

Last month, the team released support for OAS 3.0 in the open source Swagger tooling, including the Swagger Editor and Swagger UI. We have also published a ton of helpful resources to help API teams learn the 3.0 specification, and understand how OAS 3.0 can be used to design and document great APIs, including:

We will cover:

• What’s new in OpenAPI 3.0?

• Transitioning from Swagger 2.0 to OAS 3.0

• Designing an API using OAS 3.0 on SwaggerHub
